Well, I just had a real tough conversation with the BMT doctor on service.  He has decided to give Joel an infusion of immunoglobulin, which is basically human antibodies that should help fight the CMV.  My first concern was for Joel's kidneys, but he said that the CMV should have been gone by now, and so his pimary concern is the virus, as it can be "lethal" in his words.

Joel was almost back to himself on Tuesday and Wednesday.  He really had some fight in him and wanted to get better.  The past two days have been the opposite.  He doesn't speak to us unless we specifically ask questions, and even then it's only a minimal response.

Needless to say, we're scared.  We trust in God's ability to heal, but I have to be honest.  I'm tired, weary, worn out.  I'm in Ohio for the weekend while Joel's parents are with him, but I plan to return to Indianapolis tomorrow.  Pray for Joel to have a quick turnaround mentally and physically.  Pray for the CMV to be successfully eradicated from his body.  Pray for strength and peace and faith for all of us.
