It seems like just yesterday that joe left us. Will my heart ever heal again. I miss the boy so much. And feel so bad for his family that misses him so. I know he wouldn't want us suffering over him. But how can we not. We miss ure love buddy and I miss ure hug and laugh. Forever in my mind and heart. Ure nanny Barbara.

(continued) After all, God gave His only Son so that humanity can
be saved, so He knows how you feel. I think there is comfort in knowing that God
doesn’t do anything to hurt us intentionally, but that He is with us in our
suffering. And there is also consolation in knowing that our loved one is
actually in a better place (if they knew Jesus and were saved before they left
this earth). I pray that you, Dan and your daughter be comforted in your grief.

Dear
Sherran,

In response to your post today, please know that others do actually
cry with you. I hardly know Joe or your family, except for Dan (we work in same
office), but I cried as I feel your pain. My dad passed away when I was 10 years
old and I still cry sometimes when I think or talk about him. No one will fill
the void, but with time, God heals the wound from the loss. It is hard to
understand why God allows some people to die prematurely, but He doesn't leave
us in our suffering – He cries with us and He wants to comfort us and fill our
heart with peace.

Thank you for sharing this Chris. Your writing is as beautiful as you are!  Stoday is the Feast of St. Joseph, as you know.  Your own special Saint day.  St. Joseph is certainly with us all these days, especially you and your family.  I am looking foreward to the be run for our special saint.  I will continue to pray for all of us who miss him.

It's amazing to me that amidst all your pain and suffering, you are still able to see the good, and feel the peace of that... Even for a moment. I know a lot of people would be so swept up in their grief not to notice those tender mercies. Tender mercies that I believe, our Heavenly Father gives us to give us the strength to keep going. Don't ignore those tender mercies... They are not coincidence... They are intended for you, not only from Joe, but from a Heavenly Father who loves you. You are a strength to all who read your words. Thanks for sharing these special moments with the rest of us!

I've never heard anybody else mention Orion's Belt bringing them comfort.

A long time ago, I was on my first visit to my dad's house, first in probably 10 years of not being part of his family. I was in Nevada and the belt always stood out to me.

I didn't like being away from my mom, staying with strangers, it was difficult.

Everytime I looked up to stars, the belt was always there, I realized the three perfect stars, to me, represented MY family being with ME.

One for me, one for Ryan, my brother and one for my mama.

I'm glad that something so big, that will always be around, yet, so far away, can bring some comfort when it's needed.

Love,

Dana

Oh my darling daughter your writing stirs and soothes my soul. I will look at Orion's Belt in a whole new way: three stars aligned together: three souls, yours, Joe's and River's connected forever.

I love you my precious darlings, to the moon and back-wait, what is is that little Ben and Jack tell me? Oh yes, "no nanny, I love you to Pluto and back cause it's further away"!

Hi Hebert Family,

I apologize for not writing sooner, but have been in constant prayer for you all. In reading your last post I felt compelled to share this poem by E.E. Cummings. I hope it provides a smile.

i carry your heart with me by E. E. Cummings
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in
my heart)i am never without it(anywhere
i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done
by only me is your doing,my darling)
i fear
no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet)i want
no world(for beautiful you are my world,my true)
and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant
and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows
(here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud
and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows
higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)
and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart

i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
