Jody Duff's Journal
Two long weeks
Written Apr 25, 2013 4:31pmHello all,Not sure who may still read this. It has been 2 long weeks and though life has gone on literally... we still feel a little lost, a little empty and a little shell shocked. The boys are keeping each other company and trying to figure out the new normal but life is definitely different.I wanted to let you all know that the U of R is doing something amazing in honor of Jody. They are going to lower the flags on May 1 in her honor. Please see the link below.Thank you so much to those that came for the funeral services, calling hours, home visits, those who posted on this site, those who called and texted as well as the numerous cards and thoughts/prayers. All of you helped to honor Jody's short but full life. We truly appreciate the time you all took to go through this with us all. Many thanks,Zaneb (Daughter Duff)
Written Apr 14, 2013 2:34pmTo all my family, friends, caregivers at Strong and Wilmont Cancer Center, and coworkers of Jody, I can not express enough my gratitude for the caring and compassion that you have shown in the last 4 years and especially in the last 4 months. I do not want to say thank you because it does not come close to expressing my feelings of the way you have touched our lives. Jody was a life partner and care giver to me and all her friends and family. Her faith carried her through all the medical procedures and surgeries that would have been overwhelming for some, yet she gave hope, compassion, love, and faith to all those around her during this time. She was a very special person and we are all very lucky to have had her in our lives. I will miss her dearly, but I know I will have the support of everyone at this time of loss. May God bless all of you.
