Hello everyone. We just want to share some of Jody's story and have an avenue for friends and family from all over to share thoughts, feelings and prayers. We all appreciate your support. Jody is safely home and comfortable and keeping up her spirits by bossing her family around.
Jody was unfortunately diagnosed with pancreatic cancer almost 4 and 1/2 years ago. She has been fighting it with amazing bravery and dignity. Recently we found out that her disease has spread and unfortunately there are not any treatments available for her. She continues to keep her chin up and is a source of strength for all her friends and family who are all heart broken by the news. She is now home and has been resting comfortably. She would love to hear from all of you on this website. All of your support is needed and eagerly anticipated. Thanks, the Duff clan.
Not sure who may still read this. It has been 2 long weeks and though life has gone on literally... we still feel a little lost, a little empty and a little shell shocked. The boys are keeping each other company and trying to figure out the new normal but life is definitely different.
I wanted to let you all know that the U of R is doing something amazing in honor of Jody. They are going to lower the flags on May 1 in her honor. Please see the link below.
Thank you so much to those that came for the funeral services, calling hours, home visits, those who posted on this site, those who called and texted as well as the numerous cards and thoughts/prayers. All of you helped to honor Jody's short but full life. We truly appreciate the time you all took to go through this with us all.
