At the age of 3, Joanna was diagnosed with an aggressive pediatric cancer, Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. We have BIG NEWS! This Fall we will welcome TWIN GIRLS into the family! Tom & Gynger (my brother and sister-in-law) are expecting baby girls in November!! We are so excited!

From Joanna’s Book:

September 2005

Joanna: “Mama, when are Uncle Tom and Gyngio going to have a baby?” My answer, “When God decides that it’s time.”

Joanna continued playing. About five minutes later, “Mama, when will God decide it’s time for Uncle Tom and Gynger to have a baby?”

She always thought I had all the answers. I told her that we just had to talk to God in our prayers and wait. It makes me smile to read our conversations. I miss her so much, every second of every day.

We have waited years for these precious babies to be born. Though I wish with all my heart that Joanna could be with us when we welcome them into the world, I have a feeling that she has already held them, kissed them, and loved them both.

Congratulations Tom and Gynger! You are going to be the BEST parents!

I love you so much,

Misty
