This is my last journal entry on CaringBridge. I have given this a lot of thought and there are several reasons for my decision. I started this site to keep you informed and up to date on Jim's illness, my only regret is that I didn't start it sooner. After Jim died this site turned into a great support system and journaling opportunity for me. Thank you for continuing to come back here to read. Your support and feedback has been wonderful during this extremely difficult time. Losing Jim quite literally knocked me off my feet. I loved him with all my heart, and I miss him with all my heart. Half my life was not nearly enough, I was ready for more, I wanted more...

"We can't turn back the clock....we did the best we could for our loved ones....and now we have to find some kind of life in what we have left"
Sharon, 50, widowed 1/07

This is a lot harder than it sounds, "find some kind of life in what we have left" A future without Jim seems impossible, but sadly there is no choice....life goes on...

Almost six years ago everything changed, it wasn't what we wanted, we had no choice then either. And so much more has changed since July 29th 2007. Life has changed, I have changed, my perceptions of life have changed.....some things will never be the same again...

If you are interested in keeping in touch send me your e-mail address, I'm thinking about making an "update" list. I would send an e-mail every so often to let you know what's going on with Jared, Corwin and myself and to share any news. So if you're interested send me your e-mail.

I recently sent a donation to CaringBridge in honor of all of you who came here to read, thank you.

Love, Hope, Peace and Healing,

Carol
