This is Bryan again…
Ms. Elliott just called me to give me an update on Jimmy. Last night Jimmy received an award from his company, Compass Learning. Jimmy had a fantastic year and was recognized as one of their best salespeople in the country. Jimmy actually came in second, but did it while fighting cancer, having surgeries taking chemo, etc…not too shabby. They were kind enough to offer a live stream from the event so Jimmy could watch it from his computer. Jimmy’s boss, John Costilla has been very supportive and a good friend during Jimmy’s battle.
While Jimmy has been sleeping most of the time, his family was able to awaken him to enable him to watch the event. He did not speak but he acknowledged the video and was pleased of the recognition he received.
As of this morning he is surrounded by family and his breathing has slowed. His is not in any pain which is the main goal at this point. The family takes turns talking and reading to Jimmy. They are reading your e-mails and messages from the Caringbridge site. They have asked that you continue sending him your kind and uplifting messages because they feel confident that he can still hear them.
As always, please continue to pray for Jimmy and the family and ask that he remain comfortable and pain free. Your love and support is very much appreciated by all.
And never forget what Jimmy has always said during this entire battle…
God is Good.

This is Bryan again.
Ms. Elliott called this morning to give me an update. Our buddy is still hanging in there. He now has 24 hour nurse care and is sleeping. They are keeping him medicated so he is not in any pain. His family is with him constantly, reading to him and praying for him.
The family has been trying to make service plans in order to help everyone planning to attend Jimmy’s services. Obviously that has proven to be a difficult task, so it is now just a “wait and see” situation. Ms. Elliott said that his heartbeat is steady so no one knows how much longer he will be with us. She also said with a chuckle, that it is “just like Jimmy to make things difficult”.
She continues to amaze me with her strength and I am also fortunate enough to witness the love and support of the rest of his family. Please continue to remember this family in your prayers.
As always…

Our buddy has gone to heaven….
After the long delay I didn’t expect it to hurt so bad…but it does.
Please excuse the brevity…but I can’t type through the tears.
The service details will follow shortly.
