My Story

Welcome to Jimmy's Caringbridge Site. This will be the place to come for updates on Jimmy's surgery and recovery. Be sure to sign the guest book and leave a message for him. I will be reading all of them to him as he recovers.

Our trip was fantastic! Everything worked out perfect for Jimmy's supplies being shipped to us, a visiting nurse came and checked on his picc-line, and no infections or fevers.  Even the drive down and back was fun. We all were in two minivans with walkie-talkies going back and forth. Sophia and Zachary did well on the long drive(lots of snacks, lots of movies).  We had a great week, being in the pool, down at the ocean, and just hanging out together. A couple of nights after dark, we went crabbing on the beach. We had never done that before. So, armed with flashlights, off we went. What a riot. Those little buggers are hard to catch. Watching Zachary and Sophia run after them with a net was a sight to behold. Every once in awhile the crab would do a 360 and come chasing after Anna or me. Of course, we were all screaming. It makes me smile every time I think of it. We all hated to see the week end. Sophia said,  "I love the beach house, Nana." Brooke told her to ask us to buy it. :-)  If only.........Already looking forward to next year. I am posting my favorite photo form the trip here, of course, it is of Zachary and Sophia.

Jimmy is doing okay, a few bumps, but nothing serious.  Last weekend we were at Anna and Jason's. Took the kids to see the movie, "UP" and went to a T-ball game of Zachary's. That was fun to see. Seems like yesterday that James and Joseph were playing. Going out to dinner and a movie tonight with friends, and we have planned a camping trip at the end of July with our family.  There is a new resort/State Park that has just opened up on a huge lake.  We have rented a 4 bedroom cabin we can all fit in, and a pontoon boat to take out. Should be fun. We stay busy and try to squeeze as much out of life as we can. Jimmy is always up for anything and everything. My hero. Thanks for checking in. Please leave a note. Love, Debbie
