Jessie has been her usual busy self, swimming a few times already and feeling pretty good. Her and Stacey went to NY last week for her mri's and all was well. both spine and brain mri improved and then just tonight I received an email from Dr. Kramer stating that brain MRI was Clear. It's gone!! There's still a little in spine and with 2 more rounds of chemo they hope to have her to the point where she can receive the long awaiting vaccine! She will return to NY end of august for tests. this is one amazing kid. She wants to walk so bad and she is getting a new brace tomorrow to help with that as well. this is a night brace that is more comfortable than the one she wears during day. She has come a long way is walking a little by herself so she plans on swimming alot as therapy.
She went to Relay for Life a week ago. It was at her sister's high school and had a great time with all the support from her elementary school, Kellsion. We even talked her into singing after watching the football players sing Shakira. Jessie sung Taylor Swift's OUR SONG like a bird and the football players and about 2 dozen others were clapping behind her. It was a spectacular performance. I will soon post pictures-- computer has been trying to get fixed and it's biting the dust! Jess also went to big sister Kristie's graduation.
While Jess was in NY she got to collect on a Yankees game and go to the new Yankee stadium. Jess, her Dad, her radiation therapist, Rich (from 6 years ago) have remained great baseball buds and get together almost everytime she is in NY (usually for a game during the season too) and Ronnie his friend from elementary school ventured to Yankee Stadium and got a grand tour, ate in the stadium Club, met Paul O'Neil and sat behind home plate. they had a blast. We took Jess and Linds to a game today and for some unknown reason Our Cardinals got swept by the Rockies. We are still scratching our heads on that.
We hope to see everyone out this Sat for the benefit extravaganza! It's going to be fun!
