My name is Lesley Hardin and I ran across Jessica's caringbridge today.  I love her name because my daughter was also named Jessica Hardin from Childersburg, AL.  I lost my sweet Jessica in an accident in 2010 at 16 years old.  I will pray for your family because as parents there is no greater loss.  I pray for brighter days ahead as we carry our sweet daughters in our hearts <3

    For Jessica & her family,

The day that I knew Jessica had passed away, I was greatly saddened. I was rooting for her from the first time I had seen the post on facebook about praying for her. I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ and having a personal relationship with him in this life so that when we leave, we can have eternity with him and our salvation will be certain.

Also on that same day, my niece, who is also named Jessica, was celebrating her 19th b'day. Ironic? I don't know...but it made me also realize that life is not promised on this earth but that death is infinite. But at least we can know who and where we can choose to spend eternity when that last breath of life comes to us.  Am I repeating myself? I don't mean to...I guess I want to say that our human nature yearns for those that leave us possibly too soon from this earth we like to call our home. But it is not to be our permanent home but a temporary one. I am sure that Jessica touched many lives while here during her young life on earth. She seemed to vibrant and full of things you just knew she would one day want to explore and experience. I am sorry for her family and parents that they did not get to see many of her earthly dreams fulfilled. But I also want to lend hope that God tells us to cling to His word and not of the things of this world. Because the things of this world do not last. He has a better plan for us than anything this life, fading every day, can offer.  Jeremiah 29:11 says that 'God has a plan for us, to prosper and not harm us, to give us hope for the future.'  Besides, when everything else is taken away from us, what else do we have to cling to?

So if anything, all the good things Jessica was in her life, my prayer is that you all can take this good and pay it forward for and to others. Know that you do not grieve in vain and that the Lord is with you and is near. The pain cannot be completely taken away, but know one day you can reunite with the King in heaven and see your angel Jessica right by His side waiting for you! Rejoice in those thoughts if you can if only a little as it provides hope and lines up with the promises God tells us in the Bible. Our life compass.

Continued prayers for the family and community. I know the world became a better place because lived in it. May we all take something from our losses and turn them into gain. Heavenly gain.

    Peace and Love!

Jessica was a bright star everytime she entered Brown Lumber Company.  She was a wonderful friend to my son, Andrew. I know he will always remember how kind she was to him. I'm so glad he knew her if only for a short while. My thoughts and prayers are with you.  Sissy Brown

    To Jessica's family.

I knew Jessica for many yrs.  and I loved her like a daughter.  When I couldn't reach Jodi at UA I would call Jessica.  She would always be so sweet & she would say, "Ill find her & get her to call you."  And, she would.

She was always so bubbly and filled with life.  And, the one thing that I know is that she loved her grandparents.  She always counted on them.

I would just like to say to Charlie & Linda that I have never seen such love, support, and faithfulness from anyone before.  Jessica knew that you loved her.

God bless you and Jessica's spirit will always be with us.

    Love & prayers,

My heart is saddened in the passing of Jessica.  I never once saw Jessica without her beautiful smile in the 20 years of knowing her.  She will be greatly missed. Please except my deepest sympathy.

Our hearts hurt for you. Our daughter Anna died may 9th after her second bone marrow transplant. We were hoping Jessica would win her battle. Anna was also at UAB and she was 23. If you need an understanding ear I'm here. With deepest sympathy.

To Jessica's dear family and friends,

I have been keeping up with the postings on Jessica since the beginning of this fight.  I posted earlier today.  After posting, I read other family and friend's messages and with sorrow I would need to express my grief and allow you to know, you will all be in my prayers during this time of extreme saddness.  I never personally knew Jessica, but I felt like I knew her.

    With Love,

    Laney Lawson
