May 15th -- Before we get to this week's update, we would like to let you know that the 1st annual Just Keep Believing slow-pitch softball tournament is quickly approaching! The proceeds from this event will go directly to Jessica's continued rehabilitation efforts and her long term quality of life. The event is shaping up to be a weekend full of sport, fun, and celebration on June 13th and 14th. If you would like to field a team, participate in the preparation of the event, or simply get the info on the JKB softball tourney, please feel free to contact Mark at markburrell@stny.rr.com . We look forward to having a great event in honor of Jessica!! Well, the Burrell family had quite a night tonight!! We recently reached the point where we could take Jessica out of the hospital ourselves (instead of her going out on a Shepherd sponsored trip). Jess's first destination of choice...the mall of course!! :) We had a great time, and it was so nice to have the whole family together. Linda and Shelly helped Jess pick out a dress for her graduation from phase one of rehab, which is scheduled for next Tuesday. That day will be a testament to Jessica's perseverance, her dedication to get better, and to her unwavering spirit. However, Jessica knows that she could not have come this far alone. It is somewhat fitting that this site should reach the milestone of surpassing 25,000 visits just one week before Jessica reaches the significant milestone of graduating from phase one. Jessica and the entire Burrell family would like to thank each and every one of you for your support and kindness. Your efforts, prayers, and love have had their desired effect; they are helping Jessica through this situation!! Thank you, all of you. The Burrells
