Jessica Briggs's Journal
Written Jun 30, 2011 10:05pmSorry it's taken so long to update the site. Jess is back home in Crookston!!! She is at the Villa St. Vincent. It is so good to have her close again. She has two more surgery's to go. Nothing serious! She is not walking yet but they will be working on that. She has a good appetite and eats almost anything now. She loves to color and is doing great in speech therapy. They keep her busy there and many of her friends work there also. All your prayers have helped get Jess to where she is now so please don't stop, she still needs them. Once again, thank you all for your continued support of Jess. God Bless you all and have a wonderful and safe 4th of July weekend.
Written Jun 11, 2011 12:48amJust want to thank everyone who came out for the benefit this evening! The dinner was delicious and the auction was a blast. Lots of wonderful things had been donated. Everyone enjoyed themselves. A special thanks to all the family and friends who worked so hard to put this benefit together especially to Bob and Mary who pretty much showed us the ropes. Jess was with us in spirit. During the dinner Steve called Jess and she was able to talk to family members. They continue to talk about getting her closer so we all hope that comes about soon. Once again, keep the prayers coming. She still needs those. God Bless you all!!!
Written Jun 6, 2011 9:22pmGot some great news today!!! Jess hasn't had her hands tied for quite a few days now and that's what they have been waiting for. They have taken out the catheter which had been bothering Jess for awhile now. They have said they have done about all they can do for Jess down there so they are looking into getting her closer to all of us up here. Let's keep our fingers crossed that they are able to find some place close. She is still pretty mixed up but it's just going to take time. Hope everyone will come out this Friday and show your support for Jess. The ham dinner will start at 4:30 at the armory it's a free will offering. Then proceed right across the highway to the Northland Inn for an evening of fun with the live and silent auction which starts at 7:00. There have been so many wonderful things donated for the auction. It's does my heart good to see how people open up their hearts when someone needs the help. So once again keep the prayers coming and let's do this for Jess on Friday. Hope to see everyone there. God Bless you all!!!
