Jeremy Mohr's Journal
Wow how fast the days go by!
Written Dec 4, 2013 9:21amHey !!!! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, Randy and LeAnna, Becky and Riley, and my mom came for lunch. Than my brother John and Alaina and Dee stopped by, it's so wonderful to catch up with family. I love Thanksgiving time. I am so thankful for all of you !!!! Some-days I'm so tired and I am so glad you all are praying for me. Jeremy is not big on Turkey so we had Ham also. Jeremy neck was very stiff and sore from the Atlanta trip so he had the chiropractor come and work out the knots and stiffness, Jeremy said it was very painful but the stiffness and knots were relieved. The chiropractor told us the next time we travel a long way, Jeremy should have a soft collar around his neck to help absorb the bumps. He has been battling fatigue so he hasn't been playing his X-Box. Last Saturday he watched the OSU Buckeyes beat Michigan, it was such and intense game that his shoulders hurt and he was physically wore out !!!! He is scheduled to have his nose operation in the middle of January, this surgery will hopefully help him breath through his nose better but it will be very annoying. On a sad note, Terry's sweet Aunt Hazrel passed away, she will be missed but she is with our Lord. I finally was able to paint Jeremy's therapy room !!! It's beginning to look like a room. )I need to get busy. Thanks so much, Marcia

Written Nov 14, 2013 10:21pmBud, Mom & Dad are back in Tennessee and the appointment went fine. The trip is going good. Bud said that the road were smoother then he though they would be. Mom and Dad are driving bud nuts so he is ready to get back home.
There was a miscommunication / misunderstanding of the therapy programs offered at Shepherd. To get into the therapy Bud needed to be able to move his arms to his face. Jeremy wants to make sure that everyone know that this is not all doom and gloom! Bud is ok with this. He has not given up and he will continue to work hard to get to the point to return to Shepherds. Bud got in touch with his former therapists there and they are going to help bud with ideas to help him strengthen his muscles at home.
Even though this is not the outcome we were expecting we are still all thankful that we serve all knowing, powerful God. God is going to continue to work in Jeremy and our family's life to being Him the most glory.
Jeremy reminded me of something very important as we were talking tonight. We were talking about the next step and were and what to try and he said "well there are not many people like me out there!" That is true on SOOOO many levels! He is a MOHR!!! But seriously there are not many people with a spinal cord injury like Bud's living. God has a great an awesome plan for my brother ( as he has for everyone)! We just have to be willing to go along for the ride!
