Jen’s Story

Site created on June 6, 2008

Welcome to our CaringBridge site. It has been created to keep friends and family updated about Jen and her journey.Be sure to read the latest in the journal, view the photo gallery, and drop us a line in the guestbook.

Jen has been diagnosed with glioneuroma, a malignant brain tumor. We wanted to keep everyone up to date with the latest information on Jen and her journey.

This journey began on April 5, 2008 when waking up. Jen's left hand was numb and she figured she'd slept wrong and pinched a nerve. Over the next few days the numbness didn't subside, but rather began to spread.
The doctors seemed to think that Jen was a hypochondriac. After persisting, Jen was able to schedule an MRI for May 5 2008. After the MRI there were two doctors waiting for Jen who told her that she had to see her PCP the next day. That is when we all knew this was not good news. Of course calling the Dr the next day they tried to put off her appointment.
May 6, 2008 we learned that our lives were indeed forever changed, it was a tumor.

June 6, 2020 we discovered that a new tumor developed, the story continues.
