My Story

Thank you for visiting my caring bridge sight. It has taken me a few days (weeks) to start it. I started it and then Abbey accidentally erased it before I could save it! Anyway, I got diagnosed with breast cancer again on June 10th. This time it is in my left breast. Start clicking on the Journal Link to read more after you read the Full Story.

I got 3 of my drains out on Friday!  However, the one they left in is draining like crazy.  Of course Dr. G. said if it drains the small amt. it needs to drain for 3 days in a row I can get it out.  Well unfortunately it is nowhere near that amount.  I got moved back to the stoney creek long stay hospital (mom's house) because I went home Sunday to see my family that I hadn't seen for 5 days and I couldn't sit down and stop picking things up and cleaning up and walking around etc. etc.  So back to Grandma and Grandpa's I go. It is very quiet there.  I am a terrible patient because I can't sit still.  The only thing I do well is sleep.  So I might as well sleep my time away.  I cannot get my dressings wet which pretty much cover my left side and I can't drive and I can't sweat.  Darnit I forgot, I also cannot golf, play tennis, vaccum rake, lift laundry baskets etc.  So princess Jenny is being waited on hand and foot.  Mom even washes my hair for me.  The good part is that the herceptin treatments will be finished on July 22.  Hopefully my drain will be out by then too and I can put it all behind me except for the minor outpatient surgeries.  My parents do happen to live 5 minutes from Shelley so she comes to get me a lot and drives Miss Daisy around!  I just do errands with her just to get out of the house.  So the jist of this entry is I'm bored stiff and ready to get back on with a "normal" life.  Emotional I am still suffering but with a little time and counseling I will get that under control too.  Not to mention drugs.

Russ told me we're a team and we're missing a player and it's me.  I feel so guilty.  So my new job is to farm out the kids and get better.

Love you 2 times,

Jenny

Love you guys
