The 3 month check with Dr. Loggie in Omaha this past week was great! All looks extremely good! All the tumor markers were normal, and the CT looks good. There is still one spot around Jeff's liver that we knew was left during the surgery. Sulindac is keeping it in check, and Dr. Loggie believes it will resolve itself.
Jeff is working out 4-5 days a week. He can eat any type of food and has gained some weight back. Besides the neuropathy in his left hand, his scar, and some fatigue late in the day, he is pretty much back to normal.
Jeff is now working at I Corps here on Fort Lewis. We are both doing the happy dance. He's happy that he's well enough to work and can serve while he completes his healing process. Everyone at I Corps is very supportive of Jeff's need to maintain his medical care plan. I'm happy because my husband doesn't do well just staying at home. Sure..it sounds good..but he needs to be out in the world being productive :) and leave the domestic engineering to me.
This weekend we were able to attend retirement events and a change of command for Washington National Guard soldiers. It was so nice for us to see friends and thank them in person for all their support. Now, if we could just find a way to see all the rest of you!
