Today is a sad day for our family.  Jedrek lost his Grandpa Martens after a short, but brave fight against pancreatic cancer.  He died this morning very peacefully with his family's love surrounding him.  Jedrek, of course, is too young to understand this, but I am grieving the loss of the grandfather he will not remember except through pictures. 
Grandpa was there through much of Jedrek's journey with his cancer and we were able to be here with Grandpa though the majority of his journey, as well, for which I will always be grateful.
