Jayci’s Story

Welcome to Jayci's CaringBridge site. I've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

I've run one of these websites once before, for my mother-in-law. I never wanted to do it again. I especially never wanted to be writing about my own daughter. It's an indescribable feeling. But I felt one of the most valuable things about Leslie's website was the ability to ask friends and family for specific prayers. We definitely need that. So here we go...

- Heather (Mom)

Jayci's story began back in December of 2012. We began seeing various symptoms and signs that things were not exactly right in her body. After lots of doctors, lots of labs, and lots of procedures and biopsies, we finally got in to Primary Children's Medical Center on March 13th.

Everyone here at PCMC quickly saw what an amazing girl Jayci is. She has been so brave. She has had way more than her share of pokes and tests and tubes and medical procedures, but she doesn't complain.

We are confident that we are in the right place with the right medical team. They will get this very complex situation worked out.

You can read more about Jayci's daily story in the journal section of this website.

This post is written by Jayci's aunts and her Grandma Hamblin:

This morning, February 26, 2014, Jayci Lyn Glover peacefully left this earth and returned to the loving arms of her Heavenly Father. While we as a family are saddened and will miss her greatly, we find comfort in the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We know that families can be together forever.  We know that she was greeted with a joyous homecoming by family and friends beyond the veil.

Jayci remained firm to the end assuring those she loved that even though her time on earth was short, she loved her family, her friends, her life, and she will always be with us.

Many worldwide have been inspired by Jayci's spirit and we appreciate it so much.  Coby, Heather, Halle, Haven and all of Jayci's family have been touched by the overwhelming love and support that has been shown. We thank you for respecting the family's privacy during this difficult time.

Jayci had cancer, but cancer never had Jayci.
