I know it's been awhile since I updated. We have been very busy mostly because we have had a lot of company this past month. We had a great time with the Shirks and Lepards who visited last week. It's hard to believe this weekend will be Independence Day! Where has time gone? And, we have former neighbors coming to visit in the neighborhood tomorrow through the 4th of July, so I know we will have a fun filled week with neighborhood get togethers!
Jared has been more junky this past week and has required more suctioning/oxygen requirements. I'm anxious to get him back on inhaled tobramyicin which should start back up next week. We got a new wheelchair for him last week. I'm still trying to get used to it but I know I will in time. It took me 20 minutes to adjust it today to get him ready to go to the doctor. Fortunately, my little engineer, Mitchell came to the rescue and helped me figure it out. We saw Dr. Puri today and he thinks that Jared seems "stable". While we were there, Jared turned blue (had a apnea spell). That concerned Dr. Puri but I guess I'm used to it by now and told him I think he gets mucus plugs and it stops his breathing momentarily. I just move him around and that usually helps. I told him that Jared has been having more seizures but mostly they seem related to the congestion. When he has phlegm in his throat and he is trying to move it out of there, he will immediately start having seizures. Yes, I'm used to seizures, but I can tell you that it still breaks my heart each time he has them.
That's all for now. Thanks for checking in on us. Drop us a line if you wish. We love hearing from you! Have a great Independence Day weekend!
P.S. The frog Jared has in this picture came from the Shirks. They also brought us a frog to place outside by our pool...they got the frogs to remind us that F.R.O.G. stands for Fully Rely on God! Love it!
