Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We created it to keep friends and family updated about our sweet little Jamie who has now lost her battle with a very rare cancerous liver tumor.  May she be forever in our hearts and minds.

Friday, October 9, Kelly called me and said "I think there's something wrong with Jamie."  We called our pediatrician with some concerns about her spitting up and some abdominal distress.  She did not have a fever and we were just going to keep an eye on her.  Over the weekend she became more and more irritable and just not herself.  By Sunday she was showing signs of a bulge in her upper right abdomen.

So we came to the Children's Medical Center of CT in Hartford, as we did with Braeden when he had the croup on a Sunday, thinking she had a blocked intestine or some such thing.  A few hours later we were talking to an oncologist about possible cancer treatments and biopsy surgery for our 11 week old daughter.

After three months of chemotherapy, surgeries, and transfusions, Jamie lost her battle on January 16, 2010 at 5 1/2 months old.
