Hi everyone!

It has been awhile since I have written in the journal but we have been just enjoying life and our kids.

Well, guess who is a college athletic? Yes, it our Jake Tews. Jacob has joined the Wheelchair Basketball team. He is a guard and his number is 34. No, not 22 I think it was already taken. One of my favorite football players of all time was Walter Payton and his number was 34! He even has his own basketball wheelchair, used of course so he can modify it. Kind of like his demo car, it is demo wheelchair. Go for it Jacob, you deserve it.

You can see his picture on http://smsumustangs.com You will end up at the athletics section, then click on Wheelchair Basketball and click on Roster and then click on Jacob Tews. Their season starts November 8 at Marshall. We would love to have you join us at a home game. You can see the whole schedule by clicking on Schedule in the Wheelchair Basketball section.

We are so proud of him. He is doing great! He really keeps busy though. He has practice in the morning, classes during the day, he goes to therapy twice a week and tries to come home on the weekend. I know, sounds like a typical college student. Yep, he is. Thanks again to all of you that helped our family get through this last year. You definitely made a difference in our lives. Hopefully new pictures to come.

Hugs and Love,

Jacob's Mom

Sheila
