*We added a few more new pictures from our "homecoming"! We have been home almost a week now and are slowly getting settled. Jake had his cardiologist appointment on Wednesday and everything went well. His lungs still look "wet" but his doctor feels with time and medication they will clear. We go back in a month for a follow up appointment. "His heart looks beautiful", said Dr. Stern. We agree!! It is hard to believe we started on this journey last May. We are so very grateful to all of you, our friends and family who have been by our side through so much. You sent your love and support across the miles and we felt it as did Jake. We are blessed to have you in our lives! To our church family, your prayers have once again seen us through difficult times. We have two of the most incredible pastors. Pastor Bill, who flew up to be with us on the day of surgery, and Pastor John who delivered a beautiful prayer service for Jake on the eve of his surgery. You both have been by our sides on the hardest days of our lives and we could never have made it through this without your faith and guidance. Jennifer and Larry, you gave us more than a bed and warm meals. You opened your home up to us, a most incredible gift. We are glad to have been a part of your beautiful family even if for a short time. We know that there will be more surgical "tune ups" for Jake in the future, but for now we live in the moment and for that there is much to celebrate! With Love, David, Jo Ellen Jake and Josie
