Just another quick update.  Jake had his swallow study done yesterday and he passed.  That means his muscles that coordinate his swallowing are working correctly and we can begin to introduce him to foods by mouth.  Hopefully in due time, we can get him off of the G tube and have that thing removed.

Today we had a follow up appointment with the GI doctor to check to see why Jake is jaundiced.  His skin started turning a little yellow last week, which is a symptom of a high billirubin count that can occur when the liver is slow to filter the billirubin out of the blood stream.  Both Jake and Addy were jaundice at birth, however the cause of this condition with Jake is either related to the TPN nutrition he is getting or, of all things, gall stones.  It is nothing serious, but we would like to find out what is causing it so we can treat it.

Other than that, things are still going the same in the household.  We have a couple more appointments with doctors this week and we look forward to a nice 4th of July.
