Word of the day: SOMNOLENCE

It's not a virus- it's Somnolence :)

Some weeks after radiation therapy, children may become drowsy or neurologic symptoms may appear to worsen. This is called the radiation somnolence syndrome or early-delayed radiation effect.

Jake and Paul got back from Dartmouth today at 1pm and Jake took a 3hr nap on the couch (he slept through installation of the remaining hard wood floors yesterday~ the construction dudes are very impressed... my kids used to sleep in their car seats in the lounge of the Ground Round- noise doesn't bother them much....)

One of his meds had to be reduced slightly due to his recent weight loss (Coach Bill said his 'extra weight' was working for him with his swing~ he's still 30+lbs heavier than last season even w/ his recent loss... so I'm thinking his swing should be all set? ;) Jake is very anxious to return to his pals on the field- next game is Friday night (under the lights at Murray) so we're hoping he'll be up to it by then.

His numbers are still 'good' and his Docs are pleased w/ his health & attitude~ works for us!!

Later, angels........
