My Story

Jake had his entire rectus femoris muscles (from his thighs; don't worry there are 3 other muscles there!) transposed up to his belly, to where his abs never existed. The muscles were then joined together above his navel, and a piece of AlloDerm attached to anchor the muscle higher up near his ribs. Yay for Jake's new abs!!!

Jake continues to look better all the time!  He spent some time in the playroom with daddy today, bowling and playing with a train table.  He was smiling, laughing and talking a lot.
His epidural is now turned off and his drains will be removed this afternoon from his legs and belly.  Hoping to get out of here tomorrow ,possibly, but not sure at this point.
Hoping our next update is the one where we say we are heading home.
Thanks to Kathy and Marie for stopping by last night.

Thanks
Steven and Gretchen
