I updated pics today...they are too cute.
Just a quick note...just got home from work and need a few zzzz's but excited to enjoy a 3 day weekend with my family.
Disappointed that Grandpa Woody and Ma Judy won't be able to make it into town this weekend for the 4th as they were last year. Kids are sad, too, but hoping with Jacob's improvements we can commit eventually to seeing them in Memphis within the next 6 months or so.
We spent earlier this week having neighbor kids over for a weinie and marshmellow roast and the next night for fireworks. I guess I am really boring on my nights off!! Spending it with the kids trying to make it fun is what I seem to do, but I really enjoy it, too!
Jacob continues to do awesome. He's amazing. His next clinic visit is Friday and we look for more good news. Keegan is doing even better with some medication changes. Kelsey is the best "bugs" we could have and continues to wear her patch daily and has her next appointment to hopefully rule out surgery for her eyes the end of this month. Emma is thrilled to start her horse riding lessons on Monday. She has waited for this and was ready to start when Jacob got sick and it was put on hold like so many things were at that time. I have gotten more hugs and kisses from her in the last weeks since we committed to this than I have in a long, long time. She has never wanted anything more. She is beaming. Although, I'm a little worried since someone at work that is involved with this told me to get ready for a ton of money if she's actually good at it. That was NOT what I wanted to hear!! Kelsey, Emma and Keegan continue to love karate and Kelsey is dying to take dance class. Enrollment is in a few weeks and she is going to take dance like Emma did.....although now Emma is disappointed that she quite dance after 4 years and wants to do it again. Jacob loves his guitar and his lessons....if only he wouldn't play while I'm trying to sleep LOL!! Good grief...these kids are killing me with their activities! Jacob has been spending alot of time with friends this summer and been very busy studying and preparing for confirmation. He really loves going. Words can never express the appreciation I have for our lives being the normal hustle and bustle that they used to be!!
Kids are also getting kind of bored with summer and already talking about school starting. They are looking forward to making their last year at Green Park a great one!
Oh...some disappointing news...Scott will update more later, as I am much too tired to continue. Our former neighbor, Earlene, is trying once again to sue us for her fire due to her insurance companies non-payment. Funny that this time her and her husband state that they know the cause of the fire when 5 fire investigators couldn't figure it out!???!!!??? I don't even worry about such things anymore. She'll lose again. I feel for her, but how can we be responsible for that? Her and her husband took it a step further this time, however, and made false accusations that suddenly came to light two years later! Interesting that these suddenly were pulled out of their butts. LOL....some people will do anything for a buck. What kind of people do that? Sad and pathetic. They should be doing what we are having to do and sueing their own insurance company.
Blessings,
Julie
