Jacob London's Journal
Written Oct 20, 2013 3:29pmThis week was an other busy week. Jacob was at the dentist for 6 hours on Monday. He came home with temporary teeth, but today he broke them. We brought his truck in to get a couple of items complete, but when they were installed they did not work, so we need to bring it in again this coming week.
Also, Jacob missed a transfer and ended up on his bedroom floor, we use the wheelchair to get him back up, something they showed us at Craig's, it worked very well.
This week will be busy getting everything completed so we can leave on Sunday to go to New Jersey to check out the possibility of Jacob receiving a nerve graft. If everything goes well, Jacob will see the surgeon on Monday the 28, get any remaining testing during the few days following, and have the surgery on Friday 11/1/13.Blessings.
Written Oct 14, 2013 3:53amThis week Jacob had lots of fun driving his new vehicle! He drove himself to work and back, and each night he did something different. Friday night he went out with his buddies and had dinner. We had a few bugs, one night Jacob missed the transfer and ended up on the garage floor. Jacob did not get injured, and he call one of his friends and they were with him when I arrived. His vehicle just fits in the garage, so we needed to provide a stopping point, to know were to park.
All in all Jacob had a good week.
We have found a specialist on the East Cost that thinks he can help with the nerve pain. Jacob and myself are looking at taking a road trip at the end of the month to check it out. If he can help, Jacob will get a surgery and will be recovering for about 6 weeks when we return. The details are very rough at this time, will fill them in when more information becomes available.
This week Jacob has an other dentist appointment (He may get temporary front teeth), and we need to bring his vehicle in, to get the modifications completed.
Blessing to all.
Written Oct 6, 2013 2:55pmThis week was fairly normal with the exception of Jacob picking up his vehicle on Thursday. See Photo's we uploaded. I think this is the happiest I have seen Jacob since starting this journey. We have a few bugs to work out, but this is a major step forward.
Thanks to everyone who have help make this possible.
