Mike Williams
Mike Williams Father of Austin Williams "Wiggle for Willie"
My name is Mike Williams and your family and mine are connected now as my 18 year old athletic son was injured in a tragic accident that rendered him an incomplete quadriplegic.  He/We are blessed with significant recovery as defined in the world of SCI, however he has a long way to go to be able bodied again.  There is no harm in hope and the power of prayer for a remedy to reverse the effects of SCI.  I truly believe that one day, we will live in a world that looks at SCI as an injury in the past.  In the meantime, celebrate the successes and stay positive through all aspects of this journey!  Best wishes for more recovery!

My son's caring bridge is simply Austin Williams.

I am just shaking my head in awe at what is happening. It is as if his brain is finding new pathways with which to send signals. Years of prayers coupled with Jack's amazing drive and energy-quite a package! Someday we will read-Jack Jablonski Takes First Steps-I want to be here for that. So happy for these moments of hope...

 To the Jablonski's:

My son's caring bridge site is simply Austin Williams and you can read about his journey from a tragic event that resulted in c4-c7 fusion from compression fractures of these vertebras and compression of his spinal cord.  Any movement is cause for celebration and is cause for additional hope.  My son is an incomplete quad and I hope that we all one day will relish in a breakthrough that reverses the effects of SCI.  Best wishes for further return and godspeed on the complete journey!

That is absolutely fabulous news. Praise God for these positive signs of continued healing, treat each as the glorious blessing it is.  Absolutely fabulous news!   I had a photograph I took many years ago, of fishermen in a boat, it reminded me of the bible story (of the storm, when Jesus came to his disciples, walking on the water, and so (with the help of photoshop) I created this PoetryArtCard.  I think I could include the line....ask Jack too, because for someone whose faith must have surely been tested, by reaching out your hand to Christ, I think you have figured out that He will never let you down.  Best news ever:  Keep reaching and He will always be easy to find!

Wishing you an amazing week in therapy and in whatever else you're doing this summer. Hope things have been going well and that you've been enjoying the last few weeks of summer. Looking forward to hearing how you're doing and I'd there have been any improvements, as I'm sure there have been. Prayers every night from Montréal. Stay strong, Jack!

Was visiting the site for a friend and it reminded me of sending you messages of hope during the time of your recovery, so I decided to look you up to see how things are going for you today.  The first thing I see is that smiling Jack face, more mature obviously, but your great smile, I can see that has held you up well.  A smile does more than any words can ever say. I have a poem I would like to share with you about that exact thing.  Take care my friend.

A smile~

A smile does more than any words can say.

It comforts your heart, shares your peace,

and it shields your pain.

It is the positive to EVERY negative.

It brings light to the dark of day.
