The trip down to my parents went well overall. I remembered all of the meds, equipment, food, etc...however I forgot Jack's favorite two stuffed animals and aquarium that he sleeps with. Luckily grandma had a similar aquarium and some stuffed animals that worked fine. Mike and I enjoyed a scenic and hilly run through St. Meinrad. Both boys had fun at Kaden's birthday party. We were able to see both great-grandmas (and great-grandpa) at Kaden's party which was nice for Mother's Day weekend. The boys let me sleep in Sunday morning and then woke me with the most wonderful card that Mike dictated for Logan. Mike also cooked breakfast and then cleaned the whole kitchen for my mom. On the way back home we stopped at Mike's parents' house to wish his mom a happy Mother's Day. It was the best Mother's Day. I thought back to Mother's Day 2007 which we spent at Riley mostly in the waiting room during Jack's emergency second surgery. At the time, it seemed as though it couldn't have been a worse Mother's Day. But, as I have said before, without that surgery Jack wouldn't have been able to come home before his surgery in December. What a blessing in disguise! Happy Belated Mother's Day to all of the mom's that read this!
