Morning update

Yesterday's tests all showed what we were hoping but we have more to go today. X-Ray showed nothing in pelvic region, but some irritation in lungs. Ultrasound of abdomen looked 'boring', which is good as cancer is not boring. White counts are up, and throat glands are swollen. So far all signs point to some kind of upper respiratory infection. Doctor K still wants to do more tests today to rule out Cancer for sure. So we have an MRI schedule for about 9:30 AM and a bone marrow biopsy of the hips right after. Isaiah will be under anesthesia for both tests. We are thankful for that as the bone marrow biopsy removes bone marrow from inside of both hips. This can be very painful during and very uncomfortable after.

Isaiah's fever was up and down all night from under 100 to 103 again but he let the nurse give him Tylenol, and he woke up cool and all sweaty. It seems his fever finally broke about 6AM, praise God! So, if tests results are good we will likely go home today.

Please continue to pray with us that Isaiah's Cancer is still gone for good. That all tests will show nothing out of the ordinary and that this was just an infection with flu like bone and joint pain. It is so crazy how a fever with joint pain makes most parents say my kid is sick, maybe has the flu, but the parent of a cancer child has flashbacks to pre-diagnosis symptoms.

God has been with us through each and every step of Isaiah's journey. His Holy Spirit gives us a sense of peace even when times look scary. We are so thankful for this and for all of you who pray for Isaiah and for our family.

I keep having flashbacks to last year, and it was so sad to see him last night on FaceTime. Just as I'm writing this the song How He Love Us came on by The Dave Crowder Band. http://youtu.be/TCunuL58odQ
At just the right time comfort comes! Here's the lyrics:

He is jealous for me, Loves like a hurricane, I am a tree,
Bending beneath the weight of His wind and mercy.
When all of a sudden, I am unaware of these afflictions eclipsed by glory,
And I realize just how beautiful You are, And how great Your affections are for me.

And oh, how He loves us, oh,
Oh, how He loves us,
How He loves us all
