My Story

Welcome to my CaringBridge website.  I've created it to keep in touch with friends and family.  It starts with "My Story".

You'll be able to read the latest journal entries, visit the photo gallery, and write me a note in the guestbook.

For those of you who haven't heard, I was recently diagnosed with cancer,  a large tumor attached to (probably) either the cervix or uterus.  The latest information is that it is "mixed clear-cell carcinoma" and "serous carcinoma".  The combination is supposedly an advanced, aggressive cancer.  I just found this last bit out Saturday night, and am appropriately terrified in the moment, pulling on all my spiritual reserves to deal with it!

On Thursday, 8/6, my sister is arriving from Florida and will be here with David and I.  On Friday, 8/7, I'll be getting a PET scan, which will show the extent of the cancer.  I think the results take a few days, and I'll post them here.

Physically, I'm still feeling fine.  I'm doing a number of protocols for healing cancer naturally, but am now also consulting with doctors and trying to get the best of both worlds.

I believe that my greatest chance for success in healing is prayer and visualization, both my own and others'.  So my request is, whenever I might pop into your mind, please either say a prayer for my healing or do whatever kind of visualization works for you.  And because I believe that group prayer/visualization works best, I'm asking that everyone who is willing and able do this work for 5 minutes between 6:00 and 6:10 pm (PST) every night possible.  I'll make sure I'm in a quiet, relaxed, receptive space each night during that time.  Your energies are deeply appreciated.

Everyone getting this email has touched my life in some special way, and I feel so blessed to have such a beautiful circle of support.

Depending on how things go, I don't know if I'll have the time and/or energy to answer individual emails and phone calls, but I'll try.  Meanwhile, hopefully, this will serve as a place I can communicate with you all.
