First day of school went fine, normal first day/new kid issues. When I picked her up, she told me she didn't like it, she didn't know anyone, she was lost most of the day....but the more we talked, the more she was telling me about the girls she talked to and the thick southern accent of her teacher! I think she will be just fine, it will just take some time for her to get acquainted with everything and everyone. Tomorrow she is going to start riding the bus. GPS is a wonderful thing! I couldn't make it down here without it. Caleb knew that I was directionally challenged, so he got me a GPS "for our anniversary". He didn't know if he would make it to January so the day after Thanksgiving he told me to go pick out a GPS and buy it. On our actual anniversary in January, he was so sick, I think he had the flu or something, but I still thanked him for the GPS! No breakdowns yet from me or Jordynn. I spoke with her teacher and the guidance counselor to let them know the entire situation, so that if Jordynn did breakdown that it wasn't just the move and the new school causing it. I went to get my oil changed today and I was reading the newspaper and there was an article on a little boy, 6 years old who has luekemia. The picture was of him pushing the IV pole, and it hit me that not too long ago, that was Caleb. I teared up, but not because of my own pain, but because of the empathy I felt for that little boys' family. I've had a lot of people ask for my new address so here it is: 626 Reunion Park Drive, Apex, NC 27539.
