Harrison’s Story

Welcome to Harrison's web site.

Finally, after six months in the hospital, Harrison is HOME!

H continues his miraculous recovery from traumatic brain injury. He was critically injured when he was struck by an SUV on Sunday, June 22nd.

Be sure to check the latest in his journal, view the photo gallery, and leave a note in his guestbook. Harrison enjoys reading all the messages.

Harrison was struck by a vehicle while crossing in the cross walk on Hill Road N. (Rt 256) in Pickerington, Ohio. He was having a great Sunday afternoon - hanging out with his friends at the pool & goofing off.

H, along with two friends, left the pool to get some lunch at the new Sonic (which he loves) across the street from The Swim Club. Thankfully, Harrison's friends were not injured.

After two months and two days at Nationwide Children's Hospital in Columbus, Harrison was able to be transported by medical airplane to Chicago for rehab. On August 19th, the Second Chapter in Harrison's recovery began!

Harrison spent four grueling months doing intense rehab at RIC (Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago). On December 12th, Harrison walked out of the hospital, on his own! An incredible accomplishment for a boy who wasn't likely to live.

Currently, H continues his road to recovery by spending five days a week back at Nationwide Children's doing physical, occupational and speech therapy.

Thank you for your prayers & support, as Harrison recovers.
