Victory belongs to the most persevering. ~ Napoleon Bonaparte
I think H could be the poster child for perseverance, don’t you?
He’s out of surgery & groggy, but just fine. The g-tube, the last remnant from the days he needed so much assistance, is gone. No more! How liberating it will be for him, to not have this tube protruding from his belly, and not getting in the way, caught on things, etc.
We’re praying that he’ll have no adverse reaction to the anesthesia – something that happened when they placed his tube, and again when he was having the ex-fix removed from his leg. So far, so good, though.
And we’re praying for strength to continue to persevere. His journey is far from over, but seeing the progress he’s making gives us all determination and confidence in his complete recovery.
I have to share how moved I was when I logged on and saw all the notes this afternoon. It’s funny, sometimes I worry that people will forget Harrison, especially as I haven’t been journaling as much lately. But, then I update and you all are there; sharing your stories, sending love and lifting us up in prayer. Words can’t accurately describe the strength that gives me. So, I know I say it often, but thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
