Hannah’s Story

Check out my photos & click on the resources button above to see more. Read all about me in my journal & please share with me in the guestbook.

Hannah is 4 yrs old and was diagnosed in late October 2008 with a rare and aggressive cancerous brain tumor called glioblastoma multiforme. To date (November 20) she has had 2 surgeries to remove the tumors. She is in therapy to work on her walking, which has been effected by the tumor. She has frequent headaches from the pressure on the brain. She is on steroids to help with the inflammation, which is causing her to gain weight rapidly. The doctors have given Hannah 2-3 months to live without treatment and approximately 11 months with radiation. She needs a miracle! Hannah's father's name is Darin and she has two older siblings - Brittany and Jordan. She has 3 sets of grandparents, 2 sets of great-grandparents and a large extended family and supportive church family. Her mother, Chris, passed away several years ago from cancer. Please pray for the family as they deal with cancer in the family once again.

Darin, Hannah's story has touched so many of our lives and I think I speak for so many when I say we are happy to continue following your family and your growth as you wait for the time you become reunited. I find such warmth in the journal and with this story. Hannah may have only been a liitle girl, but I believe that she was an angel long before she got her wings and that she was sent to bring people together. I Am
hopeful her story encourages strength in the lives of others who may find themselves ill and that they should see they truly are not alone.Your family was so strong and supportive.I have a good friend who's family lead a similar struggle and story, and they too lost a child, this breaks my heart. No child should face death and I am sorry your daughter did. Peace to you and your family from a friend who followed your story and one who had sent comforting gifts to your daughter in hopes to give her that many more moments of happiness.

So hard to believe it has been 5 years since she passed . I think of her often as I had lost my own precious 18 year old son just one year before to cancer. Following Hans's progress and praying everyday that she would get better. I hope you and your children are doing well. Thank you so much for sharing your story with all of us. May God bless you and your family.
