Hannah is home now. She was released yesterday afternoon. She completed her antibiotics and began the GCSF shots to boost white blood cell production. As of Saturday, her counts were high (ANC 8,872; Platelets 119,000 and Hemoglobin 9.4), so we're anxious to find out what her numbers are today. It's been quite a while since her counts were that high and she has not needed any type of transfusion/infusion in two weeks! Hannah has began walking long distances without her walker. She gets very tired within about five minutes, but she's been working very hard. It won't be too long before she'll be doing laps around us! We're trying to get Hannah an appointment with the Prosthetisist to have her leg completed. I don't think any adjustments will be needed, only the 'real skin' covering will need to be put on. Hopefully, she will only be without her beloved "Leggy" for a couple of days. A lot of people have been asking how many treatments Hannah has remaining. Frankly, we had lost count due to all the delays and chemo changes. But, we did confirm with Riley that she only has 6 more to go. She will likely end treatment in January 2009 (keep your fingers crossed). Her next chemo admit will be on October 28th. It will be methotrexate, so it should only be a short 3-4 day admit. It looks like we will be celebrating Halloween at Riley. This week she and Madi want to be a Bat Princess and Bat Queen, respectively. This is the third costume change, so who knows what they'll end up being! Please continue pray for our CB friends and all of our friends up on 5 at Riley. We're thinkin' about ya'll!
