Greetings Friends, Hope you had a super Easter. I sure did! I had the opportunity to preach at Providence Church for the first time since early September. My topic was: Is Your View of God Big Enough?Psalm 48 says, 'Great is the Lord,' but how great is He? We should always be expanding our view of God's greatness. To do this we have to spend time with God just as our expanding knowledge of another person takes time and effort. The miracles Jesus performed expanded His followers' view of God's greatness. When He calmed the storm the disciples asked 'Who is this'?Acts 19 tells how Peter's view of God was expanded to include the Gentiles. And finally Thomas had a view of Christ that was not great enough to include the resurrection until he saw Jesus. Seeing the risen Jesus increased his view of God's greatness. I interwove my own experience of my own illness the last 6 months and how it has expanded my view of God's greatness. C.S. Lewis once wrote in Prince Caspian how when Lucy encounters the great lion, Aslan, a year after she last saw him and says, 'Aslan...you're bigger.' 'That is because you are older, little one,' answered he. 'Not because you are?' 'I am not. But every year you grow, you will find me bigger.' Here Lewis means as we grow, our capacity for knowing Christ must also grow bigger. I am slowly getting stronger. I've now put on 10lbs since arriving home on February 5. I am now up to 131lbs. I've been into my office twice now but still have no access to my email accounts. I've called campus technology five times but it has not been connected yet. In the next couple of days I will attempt to drive. I'll probably practice in the old WaImart parking lot. I am continuing to improve in most every way though my hemotoma continues to cause discomfort and some pain. Bills are continuing to come in so if anyone wants to assist, the Mark Hamilton transplant fund is still open at Huntington Bank. Most of all please continue to keep me in your prayers. I thank God and you for your support and prayers. God Bless you. His Grace is sufficient, Mark Hamilton.
