It is early Saturday morning and Rylea has been playing since 5am in my tummy, so I thought I should just get up and catch up on some emails and how Haley is doing.
First, I would like to inform the world that my professional career has been put on hold... the decision was finally made to put Haley and Randy first and stay at home. I tried very hard to work full time and rely on the help of my parents and Kim and Larry, but my heart was just not being fulfilled. I also have learned that employers are not as understanding as some would think they SHOULD be. Enough said. So, it has been 2 weeks since my alarm clock has gone off for work and 2 weeks since I've had to leave Haley's side!
Haley had a little flare up, which resulted in her receiving MTX last week- a week early. She is scheduled for a CT scan, bone scan and x-rays on Monday at . Tuesday she will get an IVIG and also receive Solumedrol (steroids) on Tues, Wed and Thurs. And to add to the mix, I will have steroids two days next week to help encourage Rylea's lungs to develop. This is just precautionary.
Haley LOVES her big girl bed and is talking up a storm. I don't think I really realized how smart she was until now that we spend all day together. Wow is all I can say. She brings such joy to my heart and now I wonder why it took so long to just trust God and stay home with her. I say that even more now looking back at all the grief I was given when I had to miss work. How stupid of me to think sitting behind a desk fixing the problems of the world was more important than being with my own daughter. I am thankful that things worked out the way they did and I woke up!
Haley went to the allergist this week and is definitely allergic to shellfish. The doc gave her an epi-pen for emergencies.
Well, my time on the computer is over. Randy just got home and it is bed time for him and the start of my day with Haley. I will try to do a better job at keeping you all informed.
For the record, I really miss Adrienne, Carole and Erin from work and hope to stop by the Center and see them soon. I only have 4 more weeks until Rylea is here, so I will need to plan to see them before my life become even more filled with the love of little girls!
