Hello Everyone,

We FINALLY got the photos from the St. Jude Classic PGA Golf Tournament up on the website.  On the home page is Haley with Ratief Goosen who she caddied the 11th hole of the Pro-Am for.  Click on "See All Photos" to see the rest of the pictures of Haley at the St. Jude Classic.  (A summary of our St. Jude Classic experience is on Austin's site, the Thurs. June 11 journal entry.  Check it out at www.caringbridge.org/visit/austincarter)

Ben Crane was Haley's favorite golfer.  He ended up playing the last round of golf on Sunday with Rich Beem, Austin's favorite golfer.  They both ended up doing pretty good.  Check out the HUGE posters of Haley and Austin at the tournament.  We were told that they had one of those posters in the "lockerroom" area where the golfers get ready too.  How exciting!!  Also, if you watched any of the tournament, you probably heard them say that Phil Mickelson's wife, Amy, has just been diagnosed with breast cancer.  In fact, we were told that Phil was going to pull out of the tournament, but since it was for St. Jude, he decided to go ahead and play.  Well, Haley and Austin and a couple other St. Jude kids helped to make a video for Amy to wish her luck and strength during her treatment.  I'm sure she will cherish the video.

Haley and I went to another golf tournament today here in Bloomington to raise money for St. Jude.  I told our story to a room full of mostly men and there were tears in the eyes of some of them.  Also very moving, a young man was there who is a former St. Jude patient from Bloomington who played in the tournament.  I am hoping someday that Austin will be able to play in that tournament too.  (They have a women's version of this tournament in July that hopefully Haley will play in someday.)  The Illinois State University Boy's Basketball Coach was there for the golf tournament, and after I spoke he announced to everyone that Haley and Austin now have season tickets to the ISU games!!  Go redbirds!!!!!

Tomorrow morning I take Haley to the pediatrician to get her 6th grade physical.  It is going to be weird walking in that office.  The last time we were there almost 2 years ago, Haley had a bump on her shin!!!!!

Thank you Caren for sitting with Austin until I get back to the hospital.  What would we do without family?!?!?!?!?  Make sure to check out Austin's website for more PGA pictures and to read today's journal entry.  Thank you all for continuing to support our family.  Your prayers are so appreciated.
