I'm sad to hear about the latest rejection. When there were no new posts in August, I thought maybe Gwen was so much better that she didn't have to go to Wash. Since things have been being monitored so carefully, I am sure they will be able to figure out what to do. Is Gwen on the list for another liver? Is she in Havre? I will stop by and see her if she is.

Terry & Gwen,

It sounds like you guys are being tested once again.  I guess we all thought the crisis was over when Gwen got the transplant - and, in reality, it was what saved her life.  For that, we are all grateful.  I think we all reached a "comfort zone" after the transplant, and figured it was just recovery time we had to deal with and, of course, some lifestyle changes for Gwen.  It's too bad there isn't a transplant manual that is issued to each patient as they leave the hospital to guide you through any obstacle that may come along.  I guess I'm at a loss for any words of wisdom at this point as I've never known a transplant patient before.  What I can tell you guys is that you have a whole network of friends and family that are behind you should you ever need anything.  Please don't be afraid to ask in case we are too stupid to figure out what you need by ourselves!  Try to stay strong .... rely on us when you need to.  If you just need someone to talk to or yell at because you are frustrated, pick me - I will always listen.

I love you guys.  Glad so far things are going well.   In Hawaii now and enjoyng my much needed break before the rain sets in Seattle again.  We will have to all fly over here.  I miss seeing your smiling faces.

Take care and thank you for the update.  You are always in my thoughts and prayers.  Aloha nui loa to my favorite brother and sister-in-law.

I think it is wonderful that you have such good doctors to keep up on all that is going on with Gwen. At least you both got to enjoy the scenery and trip to Wash. this time. I was just thinking it was time to visit Gwen again. She was (and is) doing very well and will overcome this obstacle also.
