Greg’s Story

On June 26th our world changed rather quickly - we went in to have Greg’s leg checked because he was having some minor pain in his knee area. The orthopedic doctor told us that Greg has a tumor. After tests were run and minor surgery the diagnosis was Osteosarcoma. Osteosarcoma is the most common type of bone cancer, and the sixth most common type of cancer in children. Osteosarcoma is most often seen in teenage boys. The most common symptoms of Osteosarcoma are pain and swelling in a child's leg.
Greg will receive care from a team of doctors that work at Froedert and Children's Hospitals.
We know we face a long and challenging road ahead and we apologize to those who have been left outside the loop – this is not meant to be and hopefully this site will keep everyone informed. We are so thankful for family and friends – all of you have touched our hearts in such a special way. We thank you for the continued support and willingness to be there – you don’t realize how touching this is to all of us. Words cannot describe how much this means to all of us. Thanks for checking in and please know and understand how much we truly know how much all of you love us. It’s so hard to describe the outpouring of love.
Thank you for the prayers as we know God can hear us. Denny & I feel so blessed to have such wonderful people surrounding us, and thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all the prayers, thoughts, and positive wishes you send our way. I will try and send updates as Greg has appointments and treatments.
Please feel free to pass my caringpage on to others we may have forgotten.
Don't forget to sign the guestbook!!!
Much love, health, and happiness to everyone!!
Sharon, Denny, Bobby, Jake, and Greg!!!
