Dearest Friends and Family, After a delay last week, and a day of frustrating delays and communications yesterday, we're back at Station 4-4 at Methodist. This is the last time here. The first person I saw on the floor was Emily. She was the first nurse I met on that scary first day here in January. She is Sonja's classmate from St. Peter - and appeared like an angel and hugged me almost seven months ago. And now , today - same spot - another hug, at the end of the journey-there she was! The nurses decorated the room (which is the large "suite" - hip-hip!) with hanging gauze strips in honor of the last round - hospital humor, ya know! And, let me tell you, Greg has shared his humor. Only Greg can come up with this brand of chemo and hospital quips. We have some rituals that have also helped. Our daughter, Berit, suggested some homey touches - so, we pack up a tub with family pictures, Greg's own blanket and pillow, and a lamp (against regulations, but cozies things up). Greg wears clothes the whole time - part of the plan to resist "being sick". So, folks - this is the home stretch. We'll be here until Thurs. or Fri. Next week will be five outpatient chemo treatments of Ifosomade in Mankato. Then - up to Kjostad Lake for some glorious family lake time. Blessings, love, and thanks for being with us on this journey - Julie and Greg
