"Ummm, Matt, there is something bubbling up here in the yard?"  "What, no way........."   Is it possible for one more thing to go wrong?!  Yes, you guessed it, the septic lines at Deans.  Of course, it is happening on July 4th as well and finding someone to come look at the problem is impossible.  Soooooo.....

Little Midnight didn't survive.  The poor little kitty died on July 4th.  Kind of appropriate since she was such a little firecracker. 
As of last night, Buttons was still hanging in there.

So, for some happy news...this morning as I was walking Eli's new PUPPY I felt like every living thing in nature was singing praises for the sunshine and blue skies.  It was noisy out there!

I can't wait to share pictures of Eli's new Chocolate Lab, Emma.  She is 3 months old and came as a surprise on Friday.  Eli was speechless!  That never happens!!  LOL.  He keeps telling us that he "loves Emma to much".  The people who arranged for Emma to come to Eli are amazing and thoughtful.  WE LOVE YOU GUYS!  Hopefully, Emma will be able to help Eli heal.  We always focus on Grace but it has become very clear just how much Eli has been through as well.  So far, Emma has been a very easy puppy.  Hopefully it isn't the honeymoon period!
