Hello from basketball camp!!
We are in Abilene right now with Bennett. He is attending basketball camp at Hardin Simmons University. He has done a great job. This camp is a day camp designed for kids in 1st-6th grades. It is 3 hours a day. Bennett does great for about 2 hours of that time. The other hour or so, he has designated himself the pen holder for the coach. He is having a terrific time!
I am sorry that I never updated after Grace's appointment with Dr. Thomas. I honestly forgot! She did great! She weighed 20 lbs 6 ozs with a diaper on. Her sats were 84%. She cried during the EKG, but did great with her ECHO. Her ECHO still shows some mitral valve regurgitation, but it is holding steady with a mild classification. Her heart function looks good and we don't have to go back for 6 months! Hooray!!
We had a playdate on Friday with some of our heart friends. The kids had fun playing together and the mommies had fun visiting with each other. I hope that we are able to get together with our family and friends quite a bit while we are out of school for the summer.
I am teaching swimming lessons twice a week, but other than that, the kids and I are going to be spending some quality time together! We can't wait to play the days away. It will make going back to work very hard!
Thanks for checking in on us. We appreciate all of your prayers regarding our appointment last week. Keep them coming for a healthy summer.
While you are at it, our buddy, Elijah, is having some spinal surgery today. Please say a prayer for him too! www.babyporta.blogspot.com
Please drop a line and let us know when you come to visit!!
