Guess who woke up congested AGAIN today?? Ugh. The poor child was screaming this morning at . I went in to check on her and she couldn’t breathe at all through her nose. The deep cough is back. I guess I will drag out the nebulizer out again and start up the breathing treatments. I know that it is allergy related. We all have horrible allergies. My eyes are itchy…Bennett and I are both congested…..Craig’s eyes were red on Sunday. I am thinking that she is going to have to take some allergy medicine when she gets bad like this. Welcome to the Cooper family!! I guess this makes her official…she can suffer with the rest of us!

She is really starting to stand up a lot more. She is cruising all around the furniture and will push a toy (or chair or stool) around the entire house. But – if we try to stand her up and help her walk – she has none of it!! She will just buckle her knees and drop to the floor. She is a turkey!! My favorite thing to watch is the fact that she thinks Bennett is hilarious!! (And lets give the child some credit – he is pretty funny!) Her eyes follow him everywhere. Lulu lets out the biggest laugh when he does something to entertain her….which in turn spurs him to keep on making her crack up. They are really starting to develop a bond with each other. My other favorite development – the girl is getting some rhythm. She tilts her head and bounces up and down to music. It is so cute. Grace is also nodding her head yes…especially when we ask her if she is hungry or wants something to eat. Big smile and big head nods!

We bought Halloween costumes yesterday. Bennett is going to be a cowboy and Gracie is going to be a pink butterfly. They look pretty adorable! When we walked into the store, “Shake Your Groove Thing” was playing over the loudspeaker. Bennett stopped dead in his tracks and started shaking his little groove thing. I was hysterical….along with others who got to observe him.

Which leads me to Bennett stories…..not so much funny as demonstrating how smart he is getting. Sunday night we were driving home as the sun was setting. He looked out the window and said, “Do you know what God said? He said ‘Let there be light’ and there was.” This morning he told us that milk had calcium in it….and so does ice cream and yogurt. He has a “test” at school on Thursday for his vowel sounds. His new game is to say, “When I say pig, you say mud. Pig.” or “When I say cow, you say moo.” You get the idea. This morning it was, “When I say Tinkerbell, you say fly. Tinkerbell. Mommy, you have to say fly. Say it!”

Craig and I had a terrific trip to Notre Dame, but I sure missed my kids! We got to spend a lot of time with our friend. The weather was beautiful! Notre Dame won the game. Craig got to get his picture made with Dick Vitale. He also got an autographed copy of his new book. We walked around campus and enjoyed having some time together. My favorite part of the entire trip was when we went to the grotto. We lit candles and said a prayer for our kids and had an emotional moment.

I put some new pictures in the photo section. The welcome photo and others in that same outfit were taken by Little Faces Photography. A while back I read on Vanessa’s blog about a charity called Littlest Heroes. This charity finds photographers around the world to take pictures of children with serious illnesses. (CHD, cancer, cystic fibrosis, etc.) They put you in touch with a photographer who donates their time to capture your family. Tiarra did a terrific job!! These are just a couple of the pictures because the other ones are too big to fit onto the site. We got some of our entire family along with the kids. The welcome photo is my favorite and I got it blown up to have it framed and put on the mantle. Thanks again, Tiarra!!

Please say a couple of quick prayers for Lulu to get over these allergies and respiratory gunk.

I will update again sometime next week. In the meantime, I am just going to say one thing……GO HORNS!! BEAT OU!!!

Love,

Jennifer
