George "Timothy"’s Story

Welcome to our CaringBridge site. We've created it to keep friends and family updated. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement during this time when it matters most.

On Monday, January 20, 2014, George was diagnosed with Stage 3C Colorectal Adenocarcinoma (Colon Cancer).  He will be undergoing intense radiation and taking the chemo pill. After 5 -6 intense weeks of treatment, he will take a break and then undergo surgery to remove the tumors in approximately 6-10 weeks.  After surgery, he will begin Chemotherapy treatments again to get rid of any additional cancer cells.  This process of getting rid of the cancer will take up to one year!

Latest Journal Update

Just wanted to let everyone know that George's surgery went well.  It lasted over 8 hours.  The dr was confident that she was able to remove the whole mass.  The pathology report should be back on Thursday!  I went to see him today and he was in a little pain, but still his silly self!!  Please keep him in your prayers.  He should be in the hospital until at least Monday.

Glad the surgery went well. I'm sure he'll be up and around and his usual "George" in no time.
