Remembering Faith's Homegoing

Today is the 3rd anniversary of Faith's homegoing.  As usual we chose to spend this day together as a family because of the comfort it brings. Sheree brought Faith's special blanket and a scrapbook of pictures, articles and poems about Faith and even some of Faith's art work that she did with the help of her special teachers. We remember the happy times more now and the tears are less.

Our lives are full and our home is full of laghter and noise with the special of gifts of our grandchildren: Elizather and Eli Walters adopted from China this past summer. Elizabeth will be three Jan. 17 and Eli will be two in July. They have brought Kerry and Sheree and all of us so much joy.  Joining them are cousins Aaron (9), Anna (7), Abagail (1) Smith.   (And Sharla and Marc are happy to announce that Smith baby # 4 is on the way!!!) God is good!!!

I've been reading the Scriptures that meant so much to me the week that Faith was so sick and went to be with the Lord.  I am amazed again how faithful God is and how He gave "dying grace".   "When you pass through the waters...they will not sweep over you."  Isa. 43:2

"Seas of sorrow, seas of trail,
   Bitter anguish, fiercest pain,
Rolling surges of temptation
   Sweeping over heart and brain--
They will not overflow us
   For we know His Word is true;
All His waves and all His billows
   He will lead us safely THROUGH."
