Just a quick update with the fantastic news - Evan's MRI was clear. We are so happy. The scaniexty never really goes away. I will update more later buy we can't wait for them to come home tomorrow night!

Alex and Evan have wrapped up day one. We are so super proud of Evan who managed to do his MRI for the first time without sedation. He was very nervous about that. We hope to get the results tomorrow.
Evan had other appointments, including endocrine. He has a low Vitamin D level, so apparently we need to back off on the sunscreen. Okay - not really - but he will start supplementation. He grew 1.3 cm in 6 months which doesn't wow me too much. The endocrinologist is still in a holding pattern.
Last I heard Chili's is on the agenda for dinner. Evan called Col. Bill today and I think he is hoping to see Terrance #1 tomorrow.
Prayers as always for his MRI!
Back to Memphis...
Written Apr 16, 2013 7:51pm by Rachel PertileEvan and Alex safely landed in Memphis tonight for Evan's 6 month check-up. He has his usual tests and evaluations scheduled. I believe his MRI is tomorrow. Evan is going to try to do it without sedation but he is pretty nervous about that. It is a long time to remain completely still for an active boy.
The boys hope to meet up with some dear friends while they are there. Knowing Evan, he will convince someone to bring him to Chili's for some queso!
Evan continues to do well. He loves Boy Scouts, is playing soccer, and is gearing up for summer swim team. He is such a joy in our lives. Evan greets me every single morning with a hug and a kiss. I will miss that for the next three mornings.
Prayers for a clean scan and great lab results.
