Sgt. Edmundson,

I am honored to have met you this Fall while you were in Sheridan, Wy.  By chance I saw your truck and trailer pulling into your hotel parking lot and asked if I could meet you.  I hope you had a successful Whitetail hunt in our great state!  Thank you for your service to our country and the sacrifice you made.  I pray you continue to make progress, god bless you and your family.  By the way, my daughter shares her name with your daughter, her name is Maile Grace.  Again, god bless and thank you for your service.

Best Regards,

Hi Eric,My husband , Guy and I were honored to meet you and your wonderful parents while we were camping in Montana (both in Hardin and a second time in Bozeman!)  How lucky could we get! :)  We cannot express how you and and your family's journey through your untimely and tragic injuries you incurred have touched our very souls and you are in our prayers on a daily basis. We thank you so much for all that you have done for our country and our freedom. Furthermore, we hope that we will be able to see you again soon and wish you and your precious family all the best.  Keep up the good work with your recovery because you have come so far and just think how much farther you can go.
God Bless you and yours,
Guy and Allison GingellSeattle, WA

Dear Eric, Stephanie & Gracie:

I just found this site and had to write.  I am the past president of NAWIC (National Association Of Women In Construction) Chapter 335.  We were privileged to be part of the  team that worked on getting your home built.  Our chapter acquired funds from various organizations and lighting fixtures for your home.  I was privileged to meet Donna, Stephanie and Gracie.  The first time I visited your new home Gracie was so excited.  She marched me right into her new "room".  Of course all that was there were the wall studs and her name written (painted) on the floor - that was Donna's idea.

Our chapter was invited to the key ceremony and I was so looking forward to attending.  I wanted to personally thank you, pray with you and be part of that very special day.  Then as fate would have it, I broke my right tibia, fibula and ankle on September 28.  I had surgery on September 30 and was released from Pitt Memorial on October 2.  I was determined that I would be attending your key presentation.  My husband had even decided the best mode of transportatin for me would be via medical transport.  Unfortunately, the mind was willing but the body was not.  I know you can identify with that!

Every since then I have wondered how the Edmondson's were doing.  I have new employment and we have an operation at Pamlico.  Every trip down east I wonder how things are going with you and pray that God continues to bless each of you.

During my first visit Stephanie shared with me that she wasn't a great cook and that her specialties were hamburgers, pizza and spaghetti.  Donna was giving her tips and pointers at the time.  I hope her culinary skills have improved.

I too have ties with the military.  My father was retired Air Force (20 yrs., 3 mo).  He passed away May 19, 2005.  My oldest son is in helicopter pilot training at Ft. Rucker AL (graduating in July)  with a follow up assignment to Ft. Bragg.  He was in Irag in 2005.  He will be deploying to Afghanistan in October 2011.

My youngest son was in the Air Force.  He served in Afghanistan in 2005 and returned as a civilian twice since then.

Yes, I'm a PROUD military mom.  I applaud you and your family.  Especially today, thank you for your sacrifice.  May we as a country never forget our men and women that are currently fighting and those that have fought previously so that we can have the freedoms we enjoy each and every day.

God bless you, Stephanie and Gracie and your parents.

I visited your wonderful display in the Randall Library on the campus of UNCW in Wilmington NC today.  I was very impressed and wondered if we might be kin, even though the spelling of Edmondson is different.  My family is from South Boston, VA and Edmondson was my maiden name.  I now live in Wilmington NC.  If you care to  answer my E-Mail feel free.  You are a great hero and I am  very proud of you and of your family for the gift you gave in keeping our country safe.  God bless you and your family.
