Just wanted to let everyone know that we will not be having her MRI on Monday. Why? You might ask, well we were called on Friday and told it must be canceled. The person on the phone informed Daniel that it is in Emma's chart that she was not allowed to be put under sedation that she had to be put under in the OR from now on. We were not aware of this. According to the person on the phone, due to her breathing issues in April that she was to not be sedated (we assume because she must be monitored more closely). We were not aware of this at all and are very confused and hope to learn more on Monday when Daniel calls to find out what is going on.
We actually tried to schedule this MRI for when she had the kidney testing, and we were told they would not do it then, and now we need it done that way. So, they have put us off till the day before Thanksgiving. We are not happy about waiting or about the confusion on what to do for testing and surgeries. Hopefully, we will know tomorrow what is going on.
Emma is doing well and her ears seem to not be bothering her. She actually reminds me to put the drops in. Today is the last day for that YIPPPEE!! She does have a stuffy nose, but it is not slowing her down. Today, we went for a walk in the woods, at Emma's great-grandmothers, using her backpack frame. We saw turkeys and some horses. Emma was a little unsure of the horses that close to her. She loved it and Daniel was able to carry her for a little while. We are trying to work up to a longer trip into the woods or the zoo. We are loving being able to go places that strollers can't go!
Emma wants to send a get well to her Aunt Nay Nay who had surgery on Friday and is at home resting and getting better. Take it easy Aunt Nay and we will bring you your happy soon!
Also, please pray for our caringbridge friend Eithen who is not doing so great. She is in the hospital and really struggling.
Love and great fall days, Rachel
