This past week Emilio just finished his round of steroids and chemo. The flavor of the month was pizza bagels and Burger Kind Mac n Cheese. 2 o'clock in the morning he was eating them. Pervious months it was pizza puffs, snickers, ramen noodles, hot cheetos, , always something different.
Yesterday I had to take Emilio in to the clinic. Seems he has a double ear infection, and with the slightest touch on his ear he cries in pain. He has been up for 2 nights in a row and doesn't look well. It's as if something else is going on with him. All morning he has been crying..  then stops to play, then cries again. I was so upset yesterday having to go in to the clinic, because 1- it's so far away, and 2- it was unplanned, and who else wants to spend their day in an oncology unit? Sucks!
Emilio just doesn't seem well so we are taking it easy this holiday weekend and staying home. I am just happy we are home, grateful and take one day at a time. Last year this was such a bad time for Emilio and the family. Just being "home" is comfort alone. We will watch fireworks from home, hopefully the neighbors have plenty for us to watch.  I will see how the night goes, if I need to call the Dr. in the morning.
